Wenn es in Deutschland einen Act gibt, der es schafft Popschlager-Fans und solche des traditionellen Schlagers gleichermaßen zu begeistern, dann ist es FANTASY! Freddy März und Martin Marcell haben es in den letzten zehn Jahren geschafft sich heimlich (wenn auch nicht still und leise) eine Fangemeinde zu erspielen, die jetzt für ein kleines Wunder sorgen könnte. Denn nach dem ersten kleineren Charterfolg im Frühjahr 2009 (Platz 88), und dem zweiten, schon deutlich größeren im Sommer 2010 (Platz 38) steht ihnen jetzt die Tür offen für den endgültigen Schritt in den Schlager-Olymp! Ihr "Best Of" mit allen Hits erscheint am 23.03.2012.

Blick zurück in die späten 1990er: Martin Marcell und Freddy März stecken beide in den Anfängen ihrer Solokarrieren. In ihren "normalen" Leben arbeitet Martin als Konstruktionsmechaniker; Freddy hat gerade eine Schneiderlehre begonnen. Als Künstler haben sie denselben Produzenten und dasselbe Management und laufen sich entsprechend ständig über den Weg. Nur: Was anderswo zum Kleinkrieg geführt hätte, führt bei Martin und Freddy zu steigender Sympathie und Freundschaft. Bei ihren Live-Auftritten probieren die beiden gemeinsame Zugaben aus. Das Publikum tobt. FANTASY ist geboren! Die Solo-Karrieren interessieren jetzt keinen mehr. Ab 1998 hagelt es Buchungsanfragen für das neue Duo. Heute sagt Freddy: "Wir haben diese Entscheidung nie bereut. Erstens ist es ein gutes Gefühl nicht allein im Flieger oder im Zug sitzen zu müssen und diesen Weg gemeinsam gehen zu können. Und zweitens glaub ich, unsere Solo-Anfänge waren letztlich nur die ersten Schritte, quasi Wegbereiter für das, was danach kam." FANTASY Biografie
Nach den ersten Achtungserfolgen kommen irgendwann auch die Hits. Mit "Geh mit ihm" geht's los. Es ist die erste Single, die die beiden selbst geschrieben haben - und sie knallt durch die Decke! "Geh mit ihm" wird auch Jahre später noch einer
der meistgefragten FANTASY-Songs sein, wohl auch weil er stilbildend ist für alles, was danach kommt: "Alle wissen es schon", "Du bist mein schönstes Geschenk", "Dann geh doch" und schließlich der wohl größte Hit "Halleluja", mit dem FANTASY ihren Einstand im Major-Geschäft geben und der das Duo zum ersten Mal in die Charts katapultiert.

Eine Schlüsselfigur auf dem Weg dorthin war übrigens Andrea Berg. "Wir hatten ein richtiges Tief und wollten sogar in unsere alten Berufe zurückgehen. Genau da riefen Andrea und ihr Management an und

fragten, ob wir nicht Lust hätten sie zu begleiten. Wir sind fast in Tränen ausgebrochen", erzählen die beiden. Sie nutzen ihre Chance, gehen mit der Konzert-Gigantin auf Tour und gewinnen eine riesengroße Fangemeinde für sich. Fazit: "Wir werden Andrea das nie vergessen." Inzwischen hat sich der Kreis geschlossen. Andreas Ferber, der Sohn von Andreas Ehemann Uli, leitet nun gemeinsam mit Erich Öxler das Management von FANTASY. Zusammen mit dem Team der Ariola (Sony Music) und dem neuen Produzenten Stefan Pössnicker steht die Karriere von FANTASY heute auf sicheren, soliden Beinen.

FANTASY Biografie"Durchhaltevermögen", sagt Martin, „das ist es, was man am allermeisten braucht für eine solche Show-Karriere. Und dass man an sich glaubt und das macht, was man wirklich geil findet." Wenn das alles zusammenkommt, sei der Job eines Sängers, so sagt er, eine Kettenreaktion: „Wenn man mit großem Spaß Songs schreibt, die den Leuten gefallen, funktionieren die Live-Auftritte auch gut. Das gute Feedback der Fans motiviert dann wieder für neue Songs, und so weiter und so weiter.“

Bei FANTASY geht diese Formel auf. Neben der eigenen Ambition ist auch der Rückhalt der Familien und des privaten Umfelds für beide Künstler ein wichtiger Faktor. Martin lebt heute gemeinsam mit seiner Frau Tanja Lasch, der Tochter von DDR-Legende Burkhard Lasch ("Jugendliebe"), und seinem Sohn (8) in Berlin. Freddy ist "im Moment nur mit mir alleine zusammen", hat aber aus einer früheren Ehe drei Kinder (21, 18, 15), die in Essen leben, und pendelt zwischen der Ruhrpott-Metropole, Stuttgart, wo das FANTASY-Büro ist, und seiner Heimat Kroatien. "Als Sänger bist du ja sowieso nirgendwo zuhause. Aber in Kroatien kann ich mich am besten entspannen. Da ist mein Elternhaus. Dort schreib ich auch meine Songs. Wenn ich traurig bin, denke ich kroatisch; wenn ich glücklich bin, deutsch." Seine Songs schreibt Freddy bezeichnenderweise auf Deutsch. Musik ist Glück.
Auf ihrem "Best Of" präsentieren Fantasy ihre größten Hits und persönliche Highlights und außerdem fünf neue Songs. Im Dezember wurden sie mit dem smago!-Award als Durchstarter des Jahres ausgezeichnet. Fantasy sind derzeit das erfolgreichste Duo im deutschen Schlagerbereich.
"Zwei tolle Typen , ein starkes Duo "

Es gibt eine Menge über Fantasy zu erzählen:
Viele loben die Bühnenshow , identifizieren sich mit den Texten oder schwärmen von der Musik.Aber um die Magie des Duos zu erleben gibts eigentlich nur einen Weg : hinzugehen ,ansehen - und vor allem : anhören !
Martin Marcell und Freddy März sind anders als andere.Keine Schublade dieser Welt ist so groß ,dass dieses Duo hineinpassen würde.
Musik hat viele Facetten .
Fantasy präsentiert viele davon. Vom Gassenhauer über das Liebeslied bis zum Seelentröster .Fast alle Songs stammen aus der Feder von Freddy März ,fast alle Texte hat das Leben geschrieben ."Ich bin überzeugt davon ,dass du deine Songs nur dann authentisch rüberbringen kannst ,wenn du die Ge schichten selbst erlebt hast",sagt Martin Marcell ,"so etwas spüren die Menschen ".

Vor allem bei den Konzerten. Seit 1996 gehen Fantasy auf Tour.Seit 1996 bekommen die Zuschauer dort mehr geboten als nur Musik ."Wir wollen die Leute unterhalten" ,sagt Freddy März. Dazu gehören Gags und auch beeindruckende Parodien.Julio Iglesias ist dabei , Louis Armstrong oder der große Roy Black. Und dann gibt es natürlich noch ihre eigenen erfrischenden Popschlager .Titel wie " Geh mit ihm " oder " Alle wissen es schon ".

Keine Frage : FANTASY hat jede Menge zu bieten.Für die Ohren.Für die Augen.Für die Sinne !

Fantasy - „Best of - 10 Jahre Fantasy“
Freddy März und Martin Marcell sind “Fantasy”. Das neue Popschlager-Duo, dass sich heimlich und stillschweigend eine Fangemeinde erspielt hat. Nach ersten Chart-Erfolgen im Jahr 2009 folgten schon ein Jahr später größere Erfolge.
Das „Best of“ Album von Fantasy enthält alle großen Erfolge in teilweise neuen Mixen. Fünf neue Songs, unter denen auch die neue Hit-Single „Ein weißes Boot“ ist, dürfen natürlich auch nicht fehlen.
„Geh mit ihm“, die erste gemeinsame Single der beiden, schlug ein wie eine Bombe und ist auch jetzt noch der meistgefragteste Fantasy-Song. Mit „Hallelujah“, ihrem größten Titel, erreichten sie zum ersten Mal die Charts und im Dezember letzten Jahres wurden sie mit dem smago!-Award ausgezeichnet.

Fazit:
Wer deutschen Schlager mag, wird an FANTASY nicht ungeschoren vorbeikommen. Mit der „Best of“ CD gibt das Duo einen Ohrwurm nach dem anderen ab. Die Songs sind allesamt zum Tanzen geeignet.
Mit der neuen Single „Ein weißes Boot“ dürfte ihnen der kommende Sommerhit sicher sein. Wer jetzt noch immer an dem erstklassigen Schlagersound zweifelt, der sollte unbedingt mal ein Livekonzert der beiden erleben, denn danach wird es garantiert keine Zweifler mehr geben.
Die Musik verleitet Fans nicht nur zum Tanzen, sondern geht auch direkt ins Herz und wenn das Duo FANTASY weiterhin so erfolgreich ist, dürfte ihnen sogar eine Nominierung für den ECHO 2013 sicher sein!

Freddy March and Martin Marcell are "a fantasy". The new pop blow duet that itself secretly and tacitly a following has won. After the first charter results in 2009 great success already followed a year later.
The "Best of" album of fantasy contains all great success in partly new mixes. Five new songs under which also the new hit single „a white boat“ is may not be also absent of course.
