Oliver Frank - Biografie

Oliver Frank (* 1. September 1963 in Göttingen) ist ein deutscher Schlagersänger.
1985 entdeckte ihn eine Talentsucherin und er produzierte im Star-Studio in Hamburg seine erste Single „Abschied von Fernando“. An den Instrumenten waren Dicky Tarrach (Schlagzeug), Nils Tuxen (Bass) und Thissy Thiers (Gitarre) von der ehemaligen Band The Rattles. Weitere Singles („Im Hafen von Piräus“, “Palermo bei Nacht”) sowie das erste Album „Santa Barbara“ folgten. 1991 wechselte Frank zu Hansa-Records (jetzt: Sony-BMG) und 1992 zu DA Music und 1999 zu ZYX Music. Mittlerweile nahm er eher klassische Discofox-Titel auf, wie „Liza Maria“ und „Samstag Nacht“ , "Ciao,Bella Italia" oder "Weit,weit von hier". Mit dem Hit „Italienische Sehnsucht“ von 1996 trat er erstmals im Oktober des gleichen Jahres auch u.a. in der legendären ZDF-Hitparade auf. Nach weiteren, erfolgreichen Titeln wie "Bis an´s Ende der Welt" oder

"Ich bin wieder frei" gelang ihm 2005 als einem der ganz wenigen Fox-Künstler mit „Nichts als die Wahrheit (la verità)“ auch der Sprung in die Top-100-Single-Charts von Media Control. Zudem wurde Oliver Frank vom Künstlermagazin zum Künstler des Jahres 2005 in der Sparte „Partyschlager“ ausgezeichnet. Auch als Autor fungiert Oliver Frank zunehmend verstärkt unter dem Pseudonym „Frank Revilo“. Neben verschiedenen Texten für Kollegen schrieb

er für sich selbst unter anderem den Radio-Hitparaden Erfolgstitel „Hallo,Madeleine“ (eine persönliche Liebeserklärung an seine damalige Lebensgefährtin!), diverse Titel seines erfolgreichen Albums "Unverbesserlich", sowie als Komponist und Texter gleichermaßen auch die als Handels-Maxi erfolgreichen Single-Titel „Amore per sempre-Jetzt oder nie“ (2008), „Unser Sommer der Liebe“ (2009) und „Scommetto su di noi (Ich wette auf Dich und mich)“ (2010). Im Frühjahr 2011 begann mit "Wir war´n mehr" für Oliver Frank die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Autor und Produzenten David Brandes. Unter seiner Regie folgten auch die gemeinsamen Radio-und Tanzflächenhits "Kreuzverhör" (2011) und "Ich hab dich geliebt" (2012). Dieser Mann schürte die Sehnsucht in uns. "Die Italienische Sehnsucht“! Oliver Frank bescherte uns mit diesem legendären Kult-Hit einen richtigen "Fox-Klassiker“, der auch heute noch auf keiner Party und in keiner guten Schlager-Diskothek fehlen darf.

Oliver Frank (* 1st of September, 1963 in Goettingen) is a German pop singer.
In 1985 a talent scout discovered him and he produced in the star studio in Hamburg his first single „Resignation of Fernando“. In the instruments were Dicky Tarrach (percussion), Nils Tuxen (bass) and Thissy Thiers (guitar) of the former volume The Rattles. Other singles („in the harbour of Piraeus“, “Palermo at night”) as well as the first album "Santa Barbara" followed. In 1991 Frank changed to Hansa-Records (now: Sony-BMG) and in 1992 to Music THERE and in 1999 to ZYX Music. Meanwhile he took up rather classical disco fox terrier titles, like "Liza Maria" and "Saturday night", "Ciao, Bella Italia" or "Far, far from here". With the hit „Italian longing“ from 1996 he appeared for the first time in October of the same year also among other things in the legendary ZDF hit parade. After other, successful titles like "To to the middle of nowhere" or "I am free again" he managed in 2005 as one completely to few fox terrier artists „with Nothing but the truth (la verità)“ also the jump in the Top-100-Single-Charts of media Control.
