Tacabro Biography and Life Story
Mario Romano is a musician and graphic artist and was born in Catania in Sicily where he also lives even today. He is friends since long time with the DJ and producers Salvo Sapienza which also comes from Catania and still is there at home. Since 2008 the both work together on Remixen. Rodriguez was born in Havana on Cuba and came in 2002 in Italian Turin. There he began to work as a singer and dancer in different Latinclubs.
After he had oscillated during many years between Cuba and Italy, he decided in 2007 to sit down finally in Italy. He lived first in Turin and moved later after Sicily. There he got to know in 2010 also Romano and Sapienza, and the duet took up some Remixe of his tracks. In the same year three began to work in the studio on a common project, originally the name Romano & Sapienza feat. Rodriguez carried, is known, in the meantime, however, as a Tacabro.
In the end of 2011 they produced as a Tacabro the Latin-dance hit "Tacatà" which whirled in January, 2012 through Europe! Romano & Sapienza were known in Italy already by her common single with Rita Pavone, "La Partita Di Pallone", however, with the new track the door opened to the worldwide music business. "Tacatà" can already register a huge success on YouTube (more than 18 million clicks in three months) and iTunes where the title created it on place 1 of the dance charts or place 3 of the general charts.
In Italy achieved "Tacatà" in April, 2012 even platinum status. In the meantime, international record companies have also published, possibly in France, Spain, America, Scandinavia and the Benelux Countries, the track at her respective markets.

Doch auch die Kollaboration mit der italienischen Schlagersängerin Rita Pevone bringt die beiden Dance-Exzentriker nicht in die Charts: "Bei unseren früheren Tracks wurden wir von der italienischen Musikszene ziemlich fertig gemacht und nicht ernst genommen. Sie fanden, wir seien zu kommerziell. Auch die Radios haben uns nicht unterstützt", erinnert sich DJ Salvatore.
Ein Jahr später schließt sich der kubanische Sänger und Tänzer Martínez Rodríguez als "externer Zulieferant" an. Das Trio legt nun einen Zacken zu und intensiviert die Arbeit an neuen Songideen. Mit den beiden Songs "Mujeres" und "I Like Reggaeton" bringt der Dreier im Jahr 2011 erstmals die sizilianischen Clubs zum Kochen.
Angestachelt und euphorisiert vom aufkommenden Erfolg tüftelt man weiter an der ultimativen Dance-Latin-Pop-Mische und legt im Dezember 2011 mit der Single "Tacatà" nach.
